At a time when we are increasingly aware of the energy transition, we are trying to show how Ascendum is prepared to accompany this transition and how it is the ideal partner to create a better future together with the market and achieve sustainable transformation.
Last December, at Quinta da Murta in Bucelas, Ascendum brought together customers and partners for an event marking the launch of Volvo electric machines on the Portuguese market.
Ascendum and Volvo CE set out with the aim of raising awareness and perception of the important role that the construction machinery and equipment sector plays in moving towards a more reliable and efficient future, without the use of fossil fuels.

The ECR25 and EC 18 excavators were present at the event, as well as the L25 wheel loader, in its all-electric versions.
The morning began with a conference in which the various aspects of decarbonization were discussed:
- WHY DECARBONIZE AND WHAT DECARBONIZATION SOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO US
- DIGITALIZATION ON THE ROAD TO SUSTAINABILITY AND COMPETITIVENESS
- DESIGN, COMPETITIVENESS AND FUNCTIONALITY OF VOLVO ELECTRIC MACHINES
The guests also had the opportunity to see the machines up close and have their questions answered, as well as watch the machines being demonstrated in a working environment.
Several personalities responded to the invitation, including Ricardo Leão, Mayor of Loures, who sponsored the event.
